Canyon County voters will have choices to make in the Republican primary race for Legislative District 13.
The GOP primary will be held on May 17, when residents of southern Nampa will select one senator and two representatives for the Idaho Legislature. In Idaho, Republican primaries are closed, meaning only registered Republicans can participate.
The Idaho Statesman sent surveys to each of the candidates, and their responses are unedited.
For the Senate seat, incumbent Sen. Jeff Agenbroad — who chairs the powerful, budget-setting Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee — is seeking a fourth term against Brian Lenney. Lenney did not respond to the survey.
For the House, Tara Barling, Roger Hunt and Kenny Wroten will compete for the position B House seat. Barling did not respond to the survey.
Rep. Brent Crane, who chairs the State Affairs Committee, is uncontested in the GOP primary for the position A House seat. Constitution Party candidate Petre Danaila will face Crane in the November general election.
