An initiative to end closed primaries and switch to a ranked choice voting system in Idaho will appear on the Nov. 5 general election ballot. Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane approved Proposition 1 in July after the Idahoans for Open Primaries coalition collected more than 70,000 signatures in support of it.
