Winners of the Treasure Valley track athlete of the week contests (May 9 to May 15)
Voting has closed in the latest Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest.
Here are the winners. You can read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

BOYS TRACK
Mason Lawyer, Boise: Collected two individual wins at the 5A District Three meet with his sweep of the 100 (10.68) and 200 (21.45) and ran legs on the Brave’s winning 4x200 (1:26.89) and 4x400 relays (3:19.97).
Jackson Beck, Mountain View: Swept the shot put (56-6.5) and discus (161-10) at the 5A District Three meet.
Eli Lawrence, Meridian: The two-time defending state triple jump champion dominated the competition in the long and triple jumps. The senior won the long jump (22-11.5) by more than a foot and the triple jump (48-4.25) by nearly 5 feet.
Patrick Monahan, Bishop Kelly: Set 4A District Three meet records and personal bests with his wins in the long jump (22-1.5), triple jump (45-5.5) and high jump (6-6.25). The high jump mark was also a state best this season.
Landon Helms, Emmett: Cleared 16-4 in the pole vault and ran to wins in the 110 hurdles (14.03) and 300 hurdles (38.68) at the 4A District Three meet. It marked three straight district titles for Helms in the pole vault and 110 hurdles and the second in a row in the 300 hurdles. All three were meet records.
Joe Reiber, Melba: Won the high jump with a clearance of 6-6 at the 2A District Three meet to break a school record that had stood since 1979. He also won the 100 (10.84), 200 (22.12, school record) and 4x100 (45.06).
Grady Mylander, Nampa Christian: Brought home four gold medals from the 2A District Three meet with wins in the 800 (1:58.12), 1,600 (4:50.27), 3,200 (9:33.74) and sprint medley relay (3:46.66).
Ian Stockett, Victory Charter: Placed first in the 1,600 (4:33.75) and 3,200 (9:53.65) and a ran leg on the Vipers’ third-place 4x400 relay team (3:48.44) at the 1A District Three meet.
Aden Aquiso, Rimrock: Won the 1A District Three meet title in the long jump with a leap of 20-8.5 and ran a leg on the Raiders’ winning 4x200 relay (1:36.72). He also anchored Rimrock’s third-place 4x100 relay (46.82).

GIRLS TRACK
Logan Smith, Boise: Ran a state-leading time of 2:11.11 to win the 800 meters at the 5A District Three meet. Smith collected four first-place finishes, adding a victory in the 200 (25.81) and running legs on the Brave’s winning 4x400 (3:52.87) and 4x800 (9:22.68) relay teams, which also established state bests.
Gracie Strickland, Capital: Won the shot put (41-4.5), triple jump (36-0) and discus (127-9.5) at the 5A District Three meet and ran the third leg on Capital’s 4x100-meter relay team.
Jacoba Luteyn, Bishop Kelly: Won the shot put for the second year in a row with a meet and school record distance of 43-0. She made it a sweep of the throwing events by claiming first in the discus with a toss of 127-4.
Tatum Richards, Emmett: Matched her own meet record from last season with a clearance of 12-8 in the pole vault. Richards also won the 100 hurdles (15.85) for the second year in a row at the 4A District Three meet.
Cassidy Fried, Middleton: Showed off her springs with victories in the girls high jump (5-0), long jump (16-2.75) and triple jump (35-2) at the 4A District Three meet.
Sydney Denison, Payette: Swept the pole vault (9-6), long jump (16-5.25) and triple jump (36-9) at the 3A District Three meet.
Emma Hillam, Fruitland: Brought home four gold medals from the 3A District Three meet after wins in the 800 (2:15.11), 1,600 (5:25.30), 3,200 (11:09.09) and spring medley relay (1:54.65).
Kendall Clark, Melba: Earned wins in the 100 hurdles (16.26), high jump (4-10), triple jump (34-4.5) and 4x200 relay (1:47.79) at the 2A District Three meet.
Savanna Schaffer, Liberty Charter: Placed first in the 200 (27.79), second in the 100 (13.50) and ran legs on the Patriots’ winning 4x400 (4:26.27) and sprint medley relay (1:58.81) teams.
