Winner of the Treasure Valley baseball player of the week contest (April 25 to May 1)

Voting has closed in the latest Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest.

Here is the winner. You can read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

  • Baseball: Joshua Ineck, North Star Charter

BASEBALL

Logan Miller, Timberline: Went 11-for-13 with three doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and eight runs scored as the Wolves went 3-0.

Mason Garcia, Eagle: Hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Mustangs to a 10-9 over Meridian.

Dillon Fine, Homedale: Threw a six-inning, two-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts in an 11-0 win vs. McCall-Donnelly. He also homered and went 2-for-4 with six RBIs in the win.

Zane Bidwell, Fruitland: Pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out 14 in a 1-0 victory over 3A SRV-leading Weiser.

Zac Garner, Vallivue: Threw a complete-game no-hitter in a 5-0 win at Nampa, striking out nine.

Joshua Ineck, North Star Charter: Pitched a perfect game in a 21-0 win vs. Idaho City. He struck out eight in four innings of the mercy rule-shortened game.

Conner Marshall, Mountain View: Thew a five-inning, two-hit shutout and struck out three in a 12-0 win against Kuna.

Dane Bradshaw, Nampa Christian: Homered in three straight games and drove in eight runs to extend the Trojans’ winning streak to 20 games.

Korbin McCarney, Borah: Held Capital to one unearned run on three hits while striking out 11 for the complete-game win in a 4-1 victory.

Collin Hysell, Payette: Pitched a complete game in a 3-1 win vs. McCall-Donnelly, giving up one unearned run on two hits while striking out 13.
