Idaho positivity rate: 3.7% (Feb. 27 - March 5)

Idaho hospitalizations: 136 patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, 30 patients in intensive care (March 9)

Idaho COVID-19-related deaths: 4,819

Case fatality rate: 1.10%

Case stats: Through March 11, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reports 16,213 hospitalizations, 2,786 admissions to the ICU and 16,479 health care workers who have been infected. The hospital and health care numbers are based on cases with completed investigations into contacts, not the full number of positives.

Death stats: The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has reported 1,090 deaths tied to long-term care facilities (updated Fridays). Here’s how Idaho’s deaths break down by age group, according to IDHW: 80+: 1,956; 70s: 1,340; 60s: 871; 50s: 394; 40s: 178; 30s: 57; 18-29: 21; Under 18: 2.

Vaccination stats: Idaho has administered 2,298,916 vaccine doses, with 926,286 Idahoans fully vaccinated. About 54.1% of Idahoans 5 and older are fully vaccinated, and 398,487 Idahoans have received a booster dose.
