BOYS BASKETBALL

Jachin Mertes, Timberline: Scored 22 points on 8-for-16 shooting, including 4-for-9 behind the 3-point line, in a 67-54 win over Eagle in the first round of the district tournament. He also added six rebounds.

Camden Hyde, Mountain View: Racked up 20 points, six rebounds and three steals in a 71-42 win vs. Kuna in the first round of the district tournament.

Landon White, Eagle: Posted 27 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in a 74-65 win against Kuna in a district tournament elimination game.

Braden Volkers, Melba: Scored his 1,000th career point and finished with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists in an 80-43 win over Compass Charter in a first-round district tournament victory.

Heath Jarboe, New Plymouth: Averaged 23.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in three games at the 2A district tournament.

Eddie Rodriguez, Fruitland: Averaged 17.5 points as the Grizzlies punched their ticket to the 3A state tournament with two wins at district.

Stephen Roskam, Liberty Charter: Scored 21 points while sinking 7-of-10 3-pointers in a 60-36 win over Notus that clinched the Patriots a state tournament berth. He also had six rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Tyson Hughes, Ambrose: Averaged 21 points in three games at the 2A District Three Tournament, keeping the Archers’ state tournament hopes alive.

Noah Palomares, Victory Charter: Recorded a triple-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 68-43 win that sent the Vipers to state. He scored his 1,000th career point in the game, and averaged 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists for the week.
