Idaho 5A regional baseball playoff scores, bracket and schedule

The 5A high school baseball regional playoffs started Thursday and continue this weekend as 12 teams battled for four state tournament berths.

See all the final scores, matchups and schedules on the road to state below.

The Idaho High School Activities Association announced the seeds Sunday. This marks the first year of a new process to qualify for state.

The new four-team state tournament will only accept the winners of each regional tournament.

SEEDS FOR 5A REGIONAL TEAMS

Twelve teams will compete in the 5A regional playoffs in four separate brackets.

The right to host went to the champions of District 1-2, District 3, District 4 and the highest-ranked champion from District 5 or 6 based on MaxPreps rankings.

The remaining teams either qualified through their district tournament or received one of four at-large berths based on their MaxPreps.com rankings.

Below is the list of the overall seeds. These seeds will also be used for the state tournament.

  • 1. Bonneville (22-3) — District 6 champ
  • 2. Twin Falls (22-6) — District 4 champ
  • 3. Vallivue (22-4) — At-large berth
  • 4. Skyview (16-5-1) — District 3 champ
  • 5. Moscow (16-10) — At-large berth
  • 6. Burley (13-8) — At-large berth
  • 7. Skyline (16-9) — District 6 auto berth
  • 8. Mountain Home (14-9) — At-large berth
  • 12. Lewiston (12-13) — District 1-2 champ
  • 14. Nampa (13-12) — District 3 auto berth
  • 15. Jerome (11-15) — District 4 auto berth
  • 17. Pocatello (10-16) — District 5 champ

  • 9. Blackfoot (19-10)
  • 10. Bishop Kelly (14-11)
  • 11. Sandpoint (12-13)
  • 13. Minico (11-14)
