GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Nadja Burkholder, Timberline: Jumped a season-best 36-0.5 to win the triple jump in a dual meet with Rocky Mountain. The mark ranks No. 3 in the state this season.

Quincy Keller, Mountain View: Won the 100 (12.05), 200 (25.61) and 4x100 relay (49.36) in a meet against Owyhee and Borah. Her 100 and 4x100 times are tops in the state this season.

Emme Hamm, Rocky Mountain: Recorded the fastest time in the 800 in the state this season (2:17.32), winning the race in a meet against Timberline.

Paisley Taylor, Meridian: Ran to wins in the 1,600 (5:00.43) and 3,200 (10:54.12) in a meet with Eagle and Capital. Both times are tops in the state this season.

Makenzie Baisch, Eagle: Won the 300 hurdles (45.67) at the Alpha Invitational at Timpanogos High School in Utah. It is the No. 1 time for Idaho athletes this season.

McKenna Chavez, Capital: The defending state champion in the shot put opened the season with a throw of 41-5, which ranks No. 2 in the state.

Josie Davis, Owyhee: In her first triple jump competition of the season, she recorded a personal-best 36-11.5, which also is tops in the state this season.

Aubri Minnick, Kuna: Won the 100 (12.68), 200 (26.52), 4x100 relay (51.09) and 4x200 relay (1:52.07) in a multi-team meet at Ridgevue.

Avery Reece, Nampa Christian: Claimed the 100 (12.7) and 100 hurdles (15.4) in a meet against Bishop Kelly, Skyview and Rigby.

Amiyah Baxter, Ridgevue: Swept the shot put (32-8) and discus (115-3) in a seven-team meet at Ridgevue. Her discus throw was a personal best.

BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Hudson Lewis, Timberline: Posted the fastest time in the state this season in the 100, winning the race in a season-best 10.85 seconds in a dual meet against Rocky Mountain.

Wade Pollock, Owyhee: Ran a school-record 39.18 to win the 300 hurdles and anchored the Storm’s 4x400 relay team to victory despite getting the baton 10 meters behind.

Kenyon Carter, Emmett: Ranks No. 1 in the state in the 5A classification in the 100 (11.08), 110 hurdles (14.55) and 300 hurdles (38.69).

Tegon Lords, Nampa: Ran a school-record 14.13 in the 110 hurdles, which ranks No. 2 in the state, and clocked a 38.52 in the 300 hurdles, which also ranks No. 2.

Eli Rich, Boise: Swept the 100 (11.17) and 200 (22.28) and ran a leg on the Brave’s winning 4x200 relay (1:28.25) in a tri-meet with Centennial and Caldwell. His 200 time is tops in the state.

Myles Johnson-Nicholson, Kuna: Opened the 2025 season with a victory in the 400 (49.68) at a seven-team meet at Ridgevue. His time ranks No. 1 in the state.

Nate Stadtlander, Meridian: Ran to wins in the 1,600 (4:15.26) and 3,200 (9:20.89) and ran a leg on the Warriors’ winning 4x400 relay (3:29.93). His 1,600 and 3,200 times are No. 1 in the state.

Joseph Miraya, Mountain View: Remains unbeaten this season in the shot put (60-10) and discus (170-11), and ranks No. 1 in the state in both events.

Marcellus Clay, Capital: Recorded a season-best in winning the triple jump (42-0) and ran a leg on the Eagles’ winning 4x100 relay (45.07) in a tri-meet with Eagle and Meridian.

Owen Kane, Bishop Kelly: Won the 200 (22.6) and long jump (20-8), and ran on Knights’ winning 4x100 relay (43.7) in a tri-meet with Skyview and Rigby.
