Winner of the Treasure Valley softball player of the week contest (April 18 to 24)

Voting has closed in the latest Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest.

Here are the winners. You can read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

  • Softball: Lola Crosby, Cole Valley Christian

SOFTBALL

Lola Crosby, Cole Valley Christian: Went 10-for-13 with three doubles, a triple and five RBIs last week.

Allie Laufenburger, Capital: Pitched 10 scoreless innings, holding opponents to seven hits while striking out 10. She also went 5-for-9 with two home runs and seven RBIs in three wins.

Kayla Stoker, Bishop Kelly: Went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and eight RBIs in the Knights’ 27-4 rout of Emmett.

Savanna Henzler, Rocky Mountain: Finished the week 6-for-8 with two doubles, four home runs and 14 RBIs.

Analisa Zamora, Skyview: Hit three home runs and drove in five runs while going 6-for-10 in three victories to clinch the 5A SIC regular-season title. She also struck out 20 in nine innings, holding opponents to two runs on five hits.

Kassandra Ortiz, Wilder: Capped a seven-run ally in the bottom of the seventh with a walk-off single in an 18-17 win vs. Horseshoe Bend.

Rylie Haith, Owyhee: Went 4-for-4 with a triple, two home runs and six RBIs in a 27-10 win vs. Kuna. She finished the week 8-for-13 with nine RBIs.

Hailey Pernell, McCall-Donnelly: Hit a walk-off grand slam in the fifth inning to invoke the mercy rule in a 19-6 win over Fruitland.

Emily Zavala, Melba: Led the Mustangs to four wins by going 9-for-13 with a double, five triples, a grand slam and 16 RBIs.

Ashlyn Graklanoff, Timberline: Went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and five RBIs in a 14-13 win at Eagle.
