Boise State adds an offensive lineman from a familiar high school to 2021 class
The Boise State football team turned to a familiar high school program to add some size to its 2021 recruiting class
Six-foot-3, 325-pound offensive lineman Joseph Amos announced his verbal commitment Saturday afternoon on Twitter. The Lancaster, Texas, native is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, and he also has scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Kansas, Houston , SMU, Hawaii and UNLV.
He hails from the same high school as a pair of Boise State wide receivers: freshman LaTrell Caples and senior CT Thomas.
Amos is the fourth recruit in the 2021 class from Texas, joining linebacker Jai Jones, who was the first commit in the class, quarterback Taylen Green and wide receiver Eric McAllister, who committed on Friday.
Amos started at guard and tackle at Lancaster, and in 2019, he helped the Tigers make the Texas 5A Division-1 state quarterfinals.
