Call it a Miracle. This rebranded Eagle restaurant has opened yet again — and its patio
Maybe you’re itching to escape the city and relax with a meal — without driving too far.
Maybe you want to relive fond concert or wedding memories from the 5-acre site.
Maybe you’re just curious.
Whatever your reason, 1st Miracle is ready. The newly rebranded restaurant and event center is open at 3705 Idaho Highway 16 in Eagle.
Formerly The Flats 16 (and before that, Crooked Fence Brewing Co., and before that, Woodriver Cellars, and before that, The Winery at Eagle Knoll), 1st Miracle emerged in March. It closed temporarily over the winter to transition to its new local owners, who live in Eagle.
The longtime entertainment destination now also includes a boutique that sells clothing and gift items.
But it’s the food and drink that will pique the interest of nearby residents. And potential Boise visitors.
The menu — available online — is decidedly more upscale than it was at The Flats 16. The pricier new restaurant is called Break Bread.
Lunch diners will consider sandwiches such as The Philly ($22) and El Cubano ($17), or the half-pound Miracle Burger ($22) made with a red-wine reduction drizzle. Those come with a choice of rice pilaf or a side house salad.
Getting ritzier, entrees include a couple of steaks: the Amoureux Filet Mignon ($55) and Japanese Ribeye ($45).
Multiple poultry options include Lemon Chicken and Chicken Marsala (both $28). Seafood fans will find Seared Scallops and Pan Seared Salmon (both $32).
A handful of tapas ($7) served with bread can be shared as starters. Craving greens? There are three salads: Turkish Shepherd ($13), Caesar ($12) and House ($11).
It’s also worth noting that gluten-free and vegetarian options are listed on the menu.
Looking to imbibe? There’s beer, wine and liquor at Break Bread. A sizable selection of tempting craft cocktails might make it difficult not to Break Bank. They range from a Whiskey Paloma ($14) and World Famous Bloody Mary ($17) to a Sazerac ($22) made with WhistlePig rye whiskey.
Outside, the spacious patio recently opened. Best of all, spring temperatures are forecast to eclipse 60, even 70, over the next week.
In Idaho right now, that feels like yet another first miracle.
▪ 1st Miracle’s hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, noon to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Online: eagle1stmiracle.com.
