You should’ve skipped rent. Two more major Boise concerts just sold out months in advance

Hope you heeded the friendly warnings, slowpokes.

After indie-folk act Bon Iver sold out in roughly 30 minutes, and country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini followed suit over a weekend, something became clear recently.

Stalling around before buying tickets to Outlaw Field concerts this summer is a risky proposition.

Now two more shows have done the same — both indie-rock.

General-admission tickets are gone for the Pixies and Modest Mouse on Sept. 4, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise on Sept. 19. (Rolling in dough? A handful of spendier VIP packages do remain.)

That means four of the 10 shows scheduled at the Idaho Botanical Garden’s outdoor venue officially find themselves in “Scalperville.”

You have nobody to blame but yourselves, Boise procrastinators.

Needed that ticket money for gas? Should’ve walked. Decided to scrape together a few bucks for beer? These fast sellouts should sober you up.

Here’s something to mull: Outlaw Field holds 4,000 people.

It’s possible that those won’t be the only shows to sell out in advance.

Here’s what’s left on the calendar (with a few more shows expected to be announced): Indigo Girls on July 2, Blues Traveler and Big Head Todd & the Monsters on July 14, Avett Brothers on July 18, Charley Crockett on July 19, Boygenius on Aug. 2 and Chicago on Sept. 3.
