5A All-Idaho football team: See who made the cut in Idaho’s toughest, largest class

5A ALL-IDAHO PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound senior lined up at nearly every position on the field and dominated them all. The future Boise State tight end played QB for the first time, finishing with 2,771 total yards and 36 TDs.

“Austin had a greater impact on our league than any other player in my 29 years of coaching high school football in the SIC,” Capital coach Todd Simis said. “He literally dominated the game, oftentimes in all three phases.”

COACH OF THE YEAR

Armando Gonzalez, Rigby

After missing the playoffs a year ago, the third-year coach led Rigby to its first football state title.
