The Eagle and Bishop Kelly football teams continued their unbeaten seasons and runs atop the state media poll, which released its latest version Tuesday evening.

Eagle capped an undefeated season and a 5A SIC Pod B championship with a 35-7 win over Borah on Saturday at Dona Larsen Park. The Mustangs, who received a bye into the quarterfinals, are 5A’s No. 1-ranked team for the ninth straight week. The only poll they weren’t ranked No. 1 was the preseason poll.

Bishop Kelly won its 17th straight game Friday with a 48-6 win at Caldwell. The three-time defending state champs have been the top-ranked team in every one of the 4A rankings this season. The Knights also have a bye into the quarterfinals.

Elsewhere in the polls, Capital jumped into a tie with Coeur d’Alene for the No. 3 spot in 5A after a 27-22 win over Mountain View. And a shakeup in the 2A rankings saw McCall-Donnelly return to No. 4 in its classification.
