BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Canaan Magness, Owyhee: Put up 10 points, five rebounds and three assists to lead the Storm to their fifth straight district title in a 65-42 win over Centennial.
Collin Morris, Timberline: Sank 10-of-13 field goals to score 27 points while adding nine rebounds and three assists in a 75-67 win over Capital that sent the Wolves to state.
Conor Goss, Bishop Kelly: Led the Knights to the 5A District Three title with 18 points, five rebounds and six steals while playing every minute of a 70-60 overtime win against Columbia.
Emanuel Chabuka, Kuna: Racked up 19 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in a 57-51 win over Meridian to clinch the Kavemen a state tournament berth.
Quincey Clay, Capital: Topped 1,000 career points as a sophomore while leading the Eagles to a 63-62 win over Meridian for the 6A SIC’s final state tournament berth.
Madden Compton, Cole Valley Christian: Scored a team-high 17 points in a 65-32 win over Homedale for the 4A District Three Tournament title.
Nathan Compas, Parma: Scored 25 points and added seven rebounds to lead the Panthers to their first district title in 2006 with a 52-48 win over Melba in the 3A District Three Tournament championship game.
Zane Fillmore, Greenleaf: Averaged 19.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals in three victories to lead the Grizzlies to a state tournament berth via a play-in game.
