PLAYER OF THE YEAR: ASHER WILLIAMS, BONNERS FERRY

The pick: Now a three-time player of the year and a unanimous selection, the 6-6 senior guard set a new standard for the Badgers, leading them to back-to-back state titles. He topped the classification in scoring (28.7 ppg) for the second straight year, adding 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals as a well-rounded force.

Coach’s comment: “He has set the culture in our program and is a big reason why we played for a state title the past three years,” Bonners Ferry coach Nathan Williams said.

What others are saying: “Asher has shown the ability to rise to the occasion time and time again,” McCall-Donnelly coach Jason Tinney said. “He’s a complete player with a high level of competitiveness.”

What’s next: He has verbally committed to play at Montana Tech.
