BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Boden Howell, Owyhee: Scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half and added six rebounds to lead the Storm to a 77-46 beatdown of Lake City in the 6A state championship game.
Alex Ko, Timberline: Finished with 20 points on 6-for-10 shooting while adding seven rebounds in a 52-42 win over Boise in the 6A state tournament third-place game.
Will Gebert, Boise: Averaged 14 points, 6.3 rebounds and two steals to lead the Brave to the semifinals of the 6A state tournament.
Dylan Luekenga, Borah: Averaged 10.7 points, seven rebounds and one block to lead the Lions to the 6A state tournament consolation final.
Max Keller, Columbia: Led the Wildcats to the 5A consolation trophy, the first trophy in program history, by averaging 18.7 points and three assists in three games.
Tye Cornwall, Middleton: Averaged 18 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists to lead the Vikings to the 5A consolation final.
Sam Penny, McCall-Donnelly: Sank 8-of-11 shots for 20 points and added seven rebounds in a 60-46 win over Marsh Valley for the 4A state tournament third-place trophy.
Tristen Trevino, Ambrose: Averaged 21 points and 5.7 rebounds to lead the Archers to the 3A semifinals and third-place game.
Josiah Gustin, New Plymouth: Led the Pilgrims to the 3A consolation final by averaging 15.7 points and 4.3 rebounds.
Finn Simon, Riverstone: Averaged 16 points, 2.3 assists and two steals to lead the Otters to the 2A consolation final.
Conor Ross, Garden Valley: Averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, two steals and 2.3 blocks to lead the Wolverines to the 1A third-place game.
Cole Olson, Cascade: Averaged 21.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals to lead the Ramblers to the 1A consolation final.
