GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaity Haan, Boise: Led the Brave to a 55-48 win over Eagle in the 6A District Three Tournament championship game with 23 points, including 10-for-12 shooting, with 13 rebounds, six blocks and four steals.
Eliza Bingham, Council: Averaged 12.5 points per game with 17 rebounds, 12 assists, 10 deflections and nine steals, helping the Lumberjacks advance to the 2A state play-in game.
Maycee Christensen, New Plymouth: Hit 10 3-pointers in the Pilgrims’ final two 3A District Three Tournament games, notching a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds against Marsing and then 19 points against Ambrose.
Zoey Blackwell, Middleton: Reached 1,000 career points in the Vikings’ 57-30 win over Bishop Kelly in the 5A District Three Tournament championship. Blackwell totaled 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Jordynn Bake, Fruitland: Helped the Grizzlies win the 4A District Three Tournament championship with a team-best 16 points in a 59-46 win over McCall-Donnelly.
Aarey Harris, Parma: Totaled 20 points and six rebounds as the Panthers topped Melba 51-21 to win the 3A District Three Tournament championship game.
Rylee Walters, Salmon River: Scored seven of her team-leading 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Savages defeated Tri-Valley 38-31 in the 1A District Three Tournament championship game.
McKenna Chavez, Capital: Contributed a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds to help the Eagles down Post Falls 53-43 in a 6A state play-in game.
