1A Division II All-Idaho girls basketball team | 2023-2024

Note: The All-Idaho teams are chosen by each classification’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: HAILEY TAYLOR, KENDRICK

The pick: Balance was essential to the Tigers’ run to a state championship, and the 5-6 senior point guard served as their consistent leader. Taylor averaged 11.5 points, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 rebound per game. She was chosen as the Whitepine Player of the Year.

Coach’s comment: “She can shoot the long ball, and she can drive and dish. Her defense is top-notch. She was the guard and controls the offense very well,” Kendrick coach Ron Ireland said.

What others are saying: “She played great defense, was very quick and finished well at the rim. She was tough to guard because of her ability to both shoot well from outside but also drive hard to the goal,” Dietrich coach Charley Bingham said.

What’s next: She has tryouts with Columbia Basin and Blue Mountain.
