GIRLS BASKETBALL
McKenna Chavez, Capital: Helped the Eagles to a 2-0 week in 5A SIC play with a pair of double-doubles. She had 16 points, 14 rebounds and three steals in a 54-39 win over Mountain View, and then notched 20 points with 10 rebounds in a 49-32 victory over Centennial.
Zavier Lake, New Plymouth: Helped the Pilgrims earn a 2A Western Idaho Conference victory over Marsing with 19 points.
Avery Howell, Boise: Led the Brave to a 64-50 victory over Owyhee with 37 points and 10 rebounds. She shot 7-for-10 from the field, including 5-for-9 from 3-point range, and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Brooklynn Dayley, Melba: Hit the 1,000 career points milestone in a 60-46 win over Cole Valley Christian with 26 points, seven assists and three steals.
Aysha Fried, Middleton: The Vikings went 3-0 in 5A SIC action, including a key 59-53 win over Rocky Mountain in whch Fried had 13 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.
Jennabelle Reece, Liberty Charter: The Patriots remained perfect in 1A Division I WIC play as Reece had 14 points, five rebounds and five steals in a win over Vision Charter, and 13 points and 13 rebounds in a victory over Rimrock.
Addysyn Bayne, Columbia: Led the Wildcats to a 2-0 week in 4A SIC action, contributing 11 points, five rebounds and three steals against Emmett, and 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals against Vallivue.
Sidney Jackson, Parma: Helped the Panthers maintain a share of first place in the 3A SRV with a 36-36 win over Fruitland in which she had 15 points and four steals.
Riley Beck, Owyhee: The Storm earned a split in 5A SIC play as Beck had 19 points in a loss to Boise and 16 points and six blocked shots in a win over Borah.
Sarah Brown, Greenleaf: Poured in 21 points with six steals as the Grizzlies defeated Gem State 47-16 in 1A Division I WIC action.
