Help us choose the best of the best in the latest Idaho Statesman baseball player of the week contest.

Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jack Meimann, Borah: Threw eight shutout innings, scattered five hits and struck out 10 to lead Borah to a 1-0 upset of Capital in the 6A District Three Tournament play-in round.

Brennan Davis, Boise: Held Rocky Mountain to two runs (one earned) while scattering seven hits and striking out five for a complete-game victory in a 4-2 upset of Rocky Mountain in the 6A District Three Tournament play-in round.

Staton Aldrich, Middleton: Went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs in two games.

Cooper Schneidt, Mountain View: Went 5-for-8 with a double and a home run in two games.

McKay Berrett, Columbia: Threw a four-hit shutout and struck out four to lead the Wildcats to a 4-0 win over Vallivue in the first round of the 5A District Three Tournament.

Colin Brazil, Bishop Kelly: Went 8-for-9 with a double, five RBIs and four stolen bases in three wins.

Lukas Hall, Homedale: Threw a seven-inning, one-hit shutout and struck out 11 in a 4-0 win over Weiser.

Owen Baker, Fruitland: Tossed a five-inning, four-hit shutout and struck out seven in a 10-0 win over McLoughlin, Oregon.

Pete Dice, Nampa Christian: Went 8-for-12 with three doubles, a triple, eight RBIs and nine stolen bases in four games. He also earned a five-inning, complete-game win on the mound, holding Marsing to two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out eight.

Teague Fox, North Star Charter: Went 3-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs in wins over Garden Valley and Notus.
