Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Romy Turpen, Capital: Went 6-for-8 with two doubles, a triple, a home run and eight RBIs in two wins. She also struck out 10 for a complete-game, 7-5 victory over Ridgevue.
Olyvia Chalifoux, Borah: Went 5-for-7 with three home runs, four RBIs and two stolen bases in two games.
Breanna Duncan, Timberline: Went 6-for-11 with three doubles and three RBIs in three games.
Kira Anderson, Boise: Went 6-for-7 with a double, two home runs and seven RBIs in wins over Timberline and Borah.
Madalynn Mahaffey, Owyhee: Went 4-for-7 with two home runs and five RBIs in three games.
Ellie McManigal, Eagle: Went 4-for-8 with a double, two home runs and four RBIs in three victories.
Olivia Watt, Bishop Kelly: Hit for the cycle in a 16-3 win over Caldwell and finished the week 9-for-12 in three games.
Avery Reynolds, Emmett: Went 7-for-11 with three home runs and 11 RBIs to lead the Huskies to a 3-0 week. That includes two grand slams in a single inning in a 26-6 win over Columbia.
Natalya Hoobery, Weiser: Went 6-for-10 with a double, a triple, two home runs and six RBIs in three victories.
Makiah Weideman, New Plymouth: Struck out 11 and held Marsing to two hits in five scoreless innings during a 7-1 victory. She also went 3-for-8 with two RBIs in two wins.
