Treasure Valley boys, girls track athlete of the week (March 23 to 29)

GIRLS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Christine Huckins, Capital: Posted the fastest 100 meters in the state this season, at 11.85 seconds, and also was part of the Eagles’ winning 4x100 and 4x400 relays in a meet with Mountain View.

Aubri Minnick, Kuna: Won three events in a tri-meet with Canyon Ridge and Caldwell, claiming the 200 (25.81), 400 (58.81) and running a leg on the Kavemen’s winning 4x200 relay (1:49.76).

Annie Herd, Centennial: Ran the second-fastest 800 meters in the state this season, in 2:18.11, and also won the 1,600 (5:16.77) and was part of the Patriots’ second-place 4x400 relay (4:22.67).

Audrey Orme, Boise: Posted the second-fastest 1,600 meters in the state this season, winning the event in 5:01.66 and also taking first in the 800 (2:22.02) in a dual meet with Borah.

Sasha Livingston, Timberline: Won the 3,200 in 11:19.64, the second-fastest time in the state this season, and also took first in the 1,600 (5:21.11) in a meet with Rocky Mountain and Ridgevue.

Kami Clayton, Mountain View: Took over the top mark in the state in the shot put with a throw of 42-8 and also won the discus with a toss of 109-6 in a meet with Capital.

Aliceann Hilleshiem, Eagle: Swept three events in the Battle of the Bolt, winning the 100 hurdles (16.97), long jump (16-11.25) and triple jump (36-9.25).

Leah Ray, Victory Charter: Won the 200 (27.79) and 400 (1:00.71) in a meet against Borah and Boise. Both times were a personal best.

Adele Hille, Skyview: Swept the 100 (12.90) and 200 (27.20) and was part of the Hawks’ runner-up 4x100 (51.60) and 4x400 relays (4:32.60) in a meet at Bishop Kelly.

Ryllie Smith, Emmett: Finished first in the shot put (37-5.5) and discus (125-4) and added a third-place showing in the javelin (82-1) in a meet at Bishop Kelly.

BOYS TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Blake Sheets, Owyhee: Posted the second-fastest 100 meters in the state this season, at 10.84, and also won the 200 (22.70) and ran legs on the Storm’s winning 4x100 (43.73) and 4x200 relays (1:32.02) at the Battle of the Bolt.

Jakobe Davis, Vallivue: Recorded the fastest times in the state this season in the 200 (21.75) and 400 (48.02) in a home quad meet.

Drew Donahue, Centennial: Clocked a 4:19.38 in the 1,600, the second-fastest time in the state this season, and also won the 3,200 (9:50.05) in a meet with Meridian.

Austin Johnston, Boise: Took over the top time in the state this season in the 3,200 (9:27.77) in a meet against Borah.

Elliot Schrack, Capital: Won the javelin with a throw of 166-0, the top mark in the state this season, and also a personal best in a meet with Mountain View.

Ambrose Brainard, Eagle: Tied for the best high jump mark in the state this season (6-8) and posted the best long jump (22-8) at the Battle of the Bolt.

River Spaulding, Meridian: Became the first pole vaulter to clear 15-0 this season in a meet against Centennial.

Behr Scott, Mountain View: Swept the 100 (11.03) and 200 (22.48) and ran a leg on the Mavericks’ winning 4x100 relay (42.40) in a meet with Capital.

Jack Haney, Bishop Kelly: Collected wins in the 1,600 (4:44.20) and 3,200 (10:12.63) in a meet at Bishop Kelly.

Izaki Abongela, Kuna: Swept the 200 (23.27) and 400 (50.66) and was part of the Kavemen’s runner-up 4x400 relay (3:35.28) in a home tri-meet.
