GIRLS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Maliya Halpin, Borah: Won by pin in all four rounds to claim the 100-pound championship as a freshman at the District Three Tournament.

Kyra Cobb, Timberline: Earned two pins and a decision on her way to the 105-pound title at the District Three Tournament.

Maliyah Garcia, New Plymouth: Collected the 110-pound championship at the District Three Tournament, winning two matches by pin, one by decision and one by medical forfeit.

Whitney Cawthra, Rocky Mountain: Dominated her way to the 120-pound title at the District Three Tournament with four first-round pins and a tech fall.

Charlee Noah, Tri-Valley: Remained unbeaten this season with four first-round pins and a decision, winning the 125-pound title at the District Three Tournament.

Kiana Trudell, Meridian: Earned three first-round pins, a major decision and a 3-0 decision in the title match at 130 pounds at the District Three Tournament.

Charlee Knapp, Middleton: Collected four pins, including three in the first round, to wrap up the 135-pound championship at the District Three Tournament.

Eliana White, Emmett: Won her first two rounds by pin, collected an overtime decision in the semifinals and earned a 4-3 decision in the final at 140 pounds at the District Three Tournament.

Brooke Smart, Centennial: After receiving a first-round forfeit, she pinned her next three opponents to win the 145-pound championship at the District Three Tournament.

Emma McDuffey, Ridgevue: Won the first three rounds by pin and earned a 4-1 decision in the 155-pound championship match at the District Three Tournament.

Abigail Henderson, Kuna: Won all four rounds by pin, including two in under a minute, on her way to the 170-pound title at the District Three Tournament.

Ella Elordi, Eagle: Pinned all three of her opponents, highlighted by a 12-second fall in the semifinals, to win the 190-pound championship at the District Three Tournament.

Natalya Hoobery, Weiser: Pinned both of her opponents in the first round to collect the 235-pound championship at the District Three Tournament.

BOYS WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Ryan Amoureux, Meridian: Recorded three pins, a tech fall and an injury default for the 132-pound title at the 6A District Three tournament, racking up 47.5 points as Meridian ran away with the team title.

James Ferguson, Eagle: Captured the 175-pound title from the 6A District Three tournament with a pin, a major decision and a pair of decisions.

Konnor Fordyce, Kuna: Rolled to the 150-pound crown at the 6A District Three tournament with two tech falls and a major decision.

Gage Ponton, Mountain View: Racked up a pin, two tech falls and a major decision for the 215-pound title at the 6A District Three tournament.

Kollin Bailey, Rocky Mountain: Scored an escape in double overtime for the heavyweight title at the 6A District Three tournament, capping a run that included a pin, a tech fall and a decision.

Cyler Beeson, Middleton: Led the Vikings to the team title at the 5A District Three tournament, winning the 98-pound title with two first-round pins and a 13-0 major decision in the finals.

Holten Crane, Bishop Kelly: Cruised to the 120-pound title at the 5A District Three tournament with two first-round pins and a 10-0 major decision.

Robert Demicell, Columbia: Brought home the 190-pound title from the 5A District Three tournament with a 5-3 win in triple overtime in the finals.

Jayden Dodge, Nampa: Racked up four first-round pins for the 138-pound title at the 5A District Three tournament.

Trevor Paynter, Homedale: Recorded two pins in a combined time of 1:22 for the 113-pound title at the 4A District Three tournament, leading the Trojans to the team trophy.

Logan Vaughn, Fruitland: Scored three first-round pins for the 150-pound title at the 4A District Three tournament.

Ty Cobb, Weiser: Posted four straight pins to bring home the 157-pound crown from the 4A District Three tournament.

WahNay Say, New Plymouth: Led the Pilgrims to the team title at the 3A District Three tournament, winning the 132-pound bracket with two pins and a tech fall.

Taylor Izzard, Marsing: Won the 120-pound title at the 3A District Three tournament with a 2-1 overtime victory.
