GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Trinity Holsinger, Eagle: Shot 8-for-14 from the field and 5-for-9 from 3-point range, totaling 23 points, two assists and one rebound as the Mustangs defeated Middleton 57-48 in the 6A state championship game.
Zoey Blackwell, Middleton: Led the Vikings to a 6A state runner-up finish, ending with 26 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one blocked shot in a 57-48 loss to Eagle in the championship.
Nya Pellant-Latham, Boise: Helped the Brave win their seventh straight state tournament trophy with 20 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and one assist in a 32-27 win over Madison in the 6A consolation game.
Aubree McCarthy, Bishop Kelly: Contributed a team-leading 17 points with three rebounds as the Knights came up just short in the 5A consolation game, losing 37-34 to Jerome.
Porter Hart, Weiser: Finished off the season with 13 points, four rebounds, four steals, two assists and one blocked shot as the Wolverines lost 62-56 in the 4A consolation championship to Kimberly.
Annelise Curran, Ambrose: Despite fouling out, scored a game-leading 21 points, including five 3-pointers, with three rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot as the Archers fell 68-43 to Malad in the 3A state championship game.
Sophie Criddle, Liberty Charter: Helped the Patriots bring home the 2A state consolation trophy with 20 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots in a 43-38 win over Lakeside.
Rylee Walters, Salmon River: Led the Savages to the third-place trophy at the 1A state tournament with 18 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, five blocked shots and one assist in a 42-39 win over Mackay.
