SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Delaney Wright, Timberline: Went 2-0 inside the circle, holding Capital and Borah to a combined one run on one hit with 28 strikeouts in 12 innings. She also went 5-for-6 with a double and four RBIs at the plate.
Athena Little, Meridian: Went 10-for-12 with three doubles, two home runs and five RBIs
Emry Woods, Eagle: Went 3-for-6 with two home runs and five RBIs, and threw out three Owyhee base runners in a single game.
Afton Janke, Mountain View: Went 7-for-11 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs in three games.
Hailey Brennan, Owyhee: Earned two complete-game victories, throwing a one-hit shutout and striking out 18 in a 4-0 win vs. Kuna. She then gave up one unearned run on three hits and struck out 13 in an 8-1 win vs. Eagle.
Olivia Stone, Capital: Went 2-for-3 with a home run and seven RBIs in a 16-4 win against Twin Falls.
Rylee Mangum, Kuna: Went 5-for-10 with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs in three games.
Allie Warren, Bishop Kelly: Threw a five-inning, two-hit shutout and struck out six in an 18-0 win over Columbia. She also went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs in three games.
Haylee Holloway, Nampa: Threw back-to-back complete games, holding Caldwell and Borah to a combined one unearned run on nine hits while striking out 24 in 14 innings. She also went 7-for-17 with three doubles, a triple, a home run and six RBIs in five games.
Grace Chambers, Skyview: Went 8-for-12 with three doubles, a home run and five RBIs in three games.
Peyton Shook, Nampa Christian: Struck out 30 in a pair of shutouts, allowing just two hits in 12 combined innings, including a five-inning no-hitter in a 15-0 win vs. Melba. She also went 4-for-7 with two RBIs at the plate.
Karlie Barnum, Cole Valley Christian: Posted a 3-0 record in four appearances, striking out 31 while holding opponents to one run on 10 hits. She also went 8-for-18 with three doubles, two home runs and five RBIs in six games.
