BASEBALL
Brayden Walls, Timberline: Led the Wolves to a 2-1 upset of Borah in the first round of the 5A District Three Tournament by throwing a complete game. He also doubled and drove in both runs.
Jimmy Flynn, Eagle: Hit a walk-off single to secure the Mustangs a 5-4 win over Centennial in the first round of the 5A District Three Tournament.
Liam Ouellette, Rocky Mountain: Threw a three-hit shutout and struck out eight in a 3-0 win over Rocky Mountain in the first round of the 5A District Three Tournament.
Brayden Schaefer, Nampa Christian: Threw a two-hit shutout and struck out seven in a 4-0 win vs. Melba in the 2A District Three Tournament semifinals.
Zeke Ochoa, Horseshoe Bend: Pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 11 in a 10-0 win over Wilder.
Dylan Brown, Cole Valley Christian: Went 8-for-12 with seven RBIs in three games for the Chargers.
Teagan Kinney, Marsing: Threw six scoreless innings and held North Star Charter to four hits while striking out 11 in the 2A District Three Tournament semifinals. He also went 5-for-11 with a double and a home run in three games.
Michael Corkish, North Star Charter: Hit a two-run triple in the top of the seventh to secure the Huskies a 5-4 win over Cole Valley Christian in the first round of the 2A District Three Tournament.
Jacob Ricks, Bishop Kelly: Delivered a two-run double in the top of the sixth inning to lead the Knights to a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over Caldwell in the first round of the 4A District Three Tournament.
Mike Lester, Melba: Hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to cap a six-run comeback in the Mustangs’ 10-9 win over New Plymouth in the first round of the 2A District Three Tournament.
Grady Daniels, Skyview: Went a combined 5-for-6 with a double, a home run and six RBIs in wins over Emmett and Middleton.
Zain Cozens, Centennial: Ripped a walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th inning in the Patriots’ 8-7 win over Vallivue.
