Help us choose the best of the best in the latest Idaho Statesman boys and girls wrestler of the week contests.

Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. This is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

GIRLS WRESTLING

Jordan Barrett, Payette: Rode three straight major decisions to the 132-pound state title, her first.

Elise Twait, Meridian: Scored a 4-3 win in overtime against Boise’s Clare Waite for the 138-pound title. Alongside Isaiah Twait, she became part of the first brother-sister duo to win state titles in the same year.

Mia Furman, Rocky Mountain: Pinned her way to the 145-pound title, her second. Only one match reached the third round.

Ornella Kero, Boise: Used three straight pins to make the 152-pound finals, then took down the top seed with a 4-2 decision.

Reece Woods, Eagle: Racked up four straight first-round pins for the 185-pound state title, leading the Mustangs to the team title.

BOYS WRESTLING

Jason Mara, Meridian: Scored three straight first-round pins to make the 5A 152-pound finals, then became a three-time state champ with an 11-2 major decision.

Carson Exferd, Nampa: The junior became Nampa’s first three-time state champ and has yet to lose to an Idaho opponent after winning the 5A 138-pound title.

Aden Attao, Borah: Capped an undefeated season where he didn’t allow a single contested offensive point by repeating as the 5A heavyweight champ.

Hunter Bidelman, Caldwell: Wrapped up a perfect season with the 4A 145-pound championship, making him the second three-time state champ in program history.

Jadon Skellenger, Bishop Kelly: Finished a 44-0 season with the 4A 152-pound title thanks to two pins, a tech fall and a 7-1 decision in the finals.

Nakoa Fouret, Columbia: Earned his second straight state championship with a 16-3 major decision in the 4A 170-pound finals.

Ezra Clemens, Fruitland: Pinned his way to the 3A 132-pound title for his second state championship. No match made it to the third round.

Nathan Willoughby, New Plymouth: Led the Pilgrims to the 2A team title by pinning his way to the heavyweight crown. Only one match lasted longer than 30 seconds and made it to the second round.
