Winners of the Treasure Valley athletes of the week contest (Sept. 21 to 27)

Voting has closed in the latest Treasure Valley Athletes of the Week contest sponsored by Edmark Toyota.

Here are the winners. You can read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

  • Football: Max Clark, Capital
  • Volleyball: Jordan Endebrock, Ambrose
  • Boys soccer: Jake Dahl, Bishop Kelly
  • Girls soccer: Hayden Wilsey, Timberline
  • Cross country: Anna Ranieri, Bishop Kelly

FOOTBALL

Martin Ceballos, Payette: The sophomore kicked a game-winning, 40-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Pirates to a 31-28 win over Parma — their first league win since 2014. The first-year football player also made 4-of-4 extra points.

Hayden Kincheloe, Homedale: The junior ran for 297 yards and three TDs on 35 carries to lead the Trojans to a 33-12 win over McCall-Donnelly.

Taylor Marcum, Timberline: The junior racked up three total touchdowns in the Wolves’ 49-13 win over Boise. He ran for 103 yards and two TDs, and he returned a kickoff 85 yards for a TD.

Westyn Smith, Emmett: The senior led the Huskies’ comeback efforts, running for 209 yards and four TDs on 23 carries in a last-second, 41-40 loss to Nampa. He averaged 9.1 yards per carry.

Isaak Plew, Nampa: Three weeks into his quarterback career, the senior racked up five touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 41-40 win at No. 5-ranked Emmett. He finished 9-of-13 for 254 yards and four TDs through the air. He also ran for 88 yards and a score.

Max Clark, Capital: The junior shined in his first varsity start, racking up seven total TDs in a 55-12 win over Skyview. He completed 11-of-21 passes for 252 yards and six TDs, and he added another rushing touchdown.

Brock Phillips, Middleton: The senior missed his junior season with an ACL injury. But he’s making up for lost time now, running for 125 yards and three TDs in a 49-29 win over Ridgevue. He also had 48 yards and a touchdown receiving.

Casey Cope, Vallivue: The junior accounted for six total TDs in a 54-0 win over Caldwell. He finished 7-of-9 for 148 yards and four TDs through the air. He also ran for 69 yards and two TDs.

Henry Clark, Melba: The senior quarterback threw for 274 yards and three TDs without an interception to lead the Mustangs to a 41-0 win over Cole Valley Christian.

VOLLEYBALL

Mariela Munguia, Payette: The sophomore’s defense led the Pirates to a five-set win over McCall-Donnelly, Payette’s first league win since 2013. She finished three matches with 76 digs and only 11 errors.

Chanlar O’Neil, Fruitland: The junior led the Grizzlies to a pair of league wins, including one over previously undefeated Parma that put Fruitland alone in first place in the 3A SRV. She had 34 kills, 44 assists, 31 digs and 13 aces in the two victories. She also helped the Grizzlies reach the quarterfinals of the gold bracket at the Rocky Mountain Classic over the weekend.

Jordan Endebrock, Ambrose: The senior finished the week with four aces, 69 digs and two assists in two matches. She logged 50 digs alone in a three-set loss to Melba.

MarDee Hall, Marsing: The junior racked up 25 kills, 15 digs and eight blocks in three matches for the Huskies last week.

Nicole Binggeli, New Plymouth: The senior and 4.0 student finished 86% at the service line in two matches. She added 13 kills, 13 blocks and one block for the week.

BOYS SOCCER

Kai Hatten, Timberline: The sophomore scored on a 30-yard free kick in the final 6 minutes to lift the Wolves to a 1-0 win over Boise on Saturday.

Jake Dahl, Bishop Kelly: The junior netted a hat trick to lead the undefeated Knights to a 3-1 win at Ridgevue.

Jordan Watkins, Weiser: The senior halfback stopped McCall’s top forward on nine potential goal-scoring attempts in a 1-0 loss.

Juan Osuna, Vallivue: The senior netted two goals and tallied three assists in the Falcons’ 9-1 win over Emmett.

Jesus Gonzalez, Caldwell: The sophomore scored twice in the Cougars’ 4-0, nonconference win over Jerome.

GIRLS SOCCER

Shae Olsen, Caldwell: The sophomore has scored every goal in the Cougars’ two games so far, including three in a 3-2 win over Nampa.

Kayden Hulquist, Boise: The senior netted a hat trick in Boise’s 9-1 win vs. Skyview.

Mia Cartwright, Bishop Kelly: The senior scored twice in a 4-2 win over Vallivue, then added another goal in a 6-0 victory vs. Ridgevue.

Kelsey Oyler, Rocky Mountain: The senior finished the week with five goals in three games. She recorded a hat trick and added an assist in an 11-1 win over Eagle. She also scored in wins over Mountain View and Centennial.

Hayden Wilsey, Timberline: She scored a hat trick in a 12-1 over Capital, then added another goal in a 3-0 victory vs. Borah.

CROSS COUNTRY

Anna Ranieri, Bishop Kelly: The senior won the girls race in a dual with Vallivue in 19 minutes, 51 seconds.

William Richardson, Kuna: The junior won a 3-mile race in a dual with Meridian in 15:32.

Sammy Smith, Boise: The freshman won a dual with Borah in 17:35.3, the fastest time for an Idaho girl so far this season.

Lizzie Dildine, Eagle: The senior and defending state champ won the girls dual with Rocky Mountain at 18:38 — 59 seconds ahead of second place.

Marcus Heemeyer, Rocky Mountain: The senior won the boys dual with Eagle in 16:09.

Grady Mylander, Nampa Christian: The junior won the seven-team boys race at the Payette Invite in 16:58, leading the Trojans to the team title.
