Winners of the Treasure Valley athletes of the week (Dec. 23 to 29)
Voting has closed for the latest Idaho Statesman and Edmark Toyota Treasure Valley Athlete of the Week contest.
Here are the winners, and you can read about all accomplishments of all the nominees below.
- Girls basketball: Jaleesa Lawrence, Meridian
- Boys basketball: Brody Rowbury, Meridian
- Wrestling: Arimiah Egner, Payette
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Jaleesa Lawrence, Meridian: The junior racked up 28 points and nine rebounds in 55-47 win over Rocky Mountain, shooting 52 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free-throw line.
Sophie Glancey, Timberline: The sophomore scored 21 points on 9-for-10 shooting as the Wolves beat Centennial 65-30 for a 5A SIC victory. She also added two assists and two steals.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Jake Stranzl, Timberline: The senior scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting and added three assists in a 42-40 win over Mountain View. He drained two late 3-pointers to lead the Wolves back from a seven-point deficit with 3 minutes left in the game.
Townsend Tripple, Rocky Mountain: The senior scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds and played tough defense on Borah star Austin Bolt, leading the Grizzlies to a 62-58 win at Borah. It snapped the Lions’ 28-game home winning streak.
Isaac Dewberry, Borah: The senior scored a game-high 32 points and drained six 3-pointers in a 62-58 loss to Rocky Mountain.
Brody Rowbury, Meridian: The junior scored 19 points to lead the Warriors to a 68-40 win over Centennial.

WRESTLING
Josiah Campbell, New Plymouth: The 170-pound senior went 4-0 with three pins to win his weight class at the boys Charlie Anthony Memorial Tournament in Ontario, Oregon.
Arimiah Egner, Payette: The sophomore won the 125-pound girls division at the Charlie Anthony Memorial Tournament, pinning her way to the title.
Savannah Turner, Homedale: The junior pinned her way to the 135-pound girls division title at Charlie Anthony.
Justin Ineck, Marsing: The senior won the boys 138-pound title at Charlie Anthony, pinning all four opponents he faced.
