Just one race in Idaho’s Legislative District 10 is contested. Here are the candidates
Voters in Idaho’s Legislative District 10 will have just one contested race in the Nov. 8 general election.
The district, which includes Star, Middleton and parts of Nampa and Caldwell, has about 53,000 voters. Voters will choose a senator and representatives for positions A and B. All three positions have two-year terms.
The Senate race is the only one with multiple candidates. Republican Tammy Nichols, who has served as a representative in District 11 for two terms, will face Democrat Bob Solomon, a school counselor from Middleton.
The Idaho Statesman sent surveys to each of the candidates in the contested race. Nichols did not respond. Solomon’s responses are copied below, unedited.
Longtime legislator and House Majority Leader Mike Moyle, R-Star, is running unopposed for the House position A seat. Rep. Bruce Skaug, R-Nampa, is unopposed for House position B. This will be Skaug’s second term as a legislator.
