Treasure Valley election results: Live updates for all races
Here you can find the latest results of the 2025 Idaho November elections, which began pouring in after the statewide polls closed at 8 p.m.
Treasure Valley voters cast their ballots in numerous races Tuesday, including Boise City Council Districts 2 and 6, the Garden City mayor’s race, and the Boise open-space levy. In Canyon County, Caldwell and Nampa had mayoral races on the ballot.
Two Boise City Council incumbents were seeking reelection, and each faced two challengers.
In District 2, which encompasses the West Bench, Colin Nash was seeking a second term but faced opposition from two political newcomers, Josh Ellstrom and Derek James Smith. Nash cruised to victory with more than 69% of the vote.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Hallyburton was running for a third term in District 6, which has Boise’s North End and runs westward toward Horseshoe Bend Road, and primarily north of State Street. He was challenged by former Council Member Lisa Sanchez and Lynn Bradescu, but Hallyburton sailed to victory, garnering more than 70% of the vote.
The Boise open-space levy is an $11 million tax increase, amounting to approximately a $10 increase on property owners’ tax bills for every $100,000 of property value. The money will be allocated toward the preservation of open spaces, the protection of clean water, and the creation of parks and trails within the city. It received overwhelming support from voters, with over 80% in favor.
In Garden City, voters elected a new mayor for the first time in two decades. After taking the helm in 2006 and winning reelection four times, John Evans retired. He endorsed City Council Member Bill Jacobs, who won 62% of the vote to easily defeat Molly Lenty.
The contentious race for Caldwell mayor produced an unexpected result: Eric Phillips, one of the challengers to incumbent Jarom Wagoner, not only won the most votes of the three candidates Tuesday, but captured 57% to avoid a runoff that would have occurred had no one received at least 50%.
Only contested races are listed. Incumbents are marked by an asterisk *.
