Coroner releases name of motorcyclist who died in three-vehicle Boise crash

Officials have released the name of the motorcycle driver who was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Monday.

The man was pronounced dead at 8:37 a.m. at the scene of the crash after he collided with two separate trucks, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified the victim as Sai Kam Oo, 49, of Boise.

Oo was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on South Pleasant Valley Road at 6:59 a.m. when he collided with the back of a dump truck that was attempting to turn near the West Hollilynn Drive intersection, according to the sheriff’s office.

“The motorcyclist landed in the oncoming northbound traffic lane, where he collided with a cement truck traveling in the northbound lane,” the sheriff’s office said.

The coroner did not provide the cause and manner of Oo’s death, listing it as “pending.”

No one else was injured, according to law enforcement.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash and requested witnesses or anyone with information to contact Detective Aaron Boswell at aboswell@adacounty.id.gov or call dispatch at 208-377-6790.
