Motorcyclist pronounced dead at scene after three-vehicle crash in Boise

A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle accident in South Boise on Monday morning.

A 49-year-old man was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on South Pleasant Valley Road at 6:59 a.m. when he collided with the back of a dump truck that was attempting to turn near the West Hollilynn Drive intersection, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

“The motorcyclist landed in the oncoming northbound traffic lane, where he collided with a cement truck traveling in the northbound lane,” the sheriff’s office said.

The news release said that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured, according to law enforcement.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once family has been notified.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash and requested witnesses or anyone with information to contact Detective Aaron Boswell at aboswell@adacounty.id.gov or call dispatch at 208-377-6790.
