Coroner identifies two Idaho men killed in Boise car crash earlier this month

The Ada County Coroner’s Office has identified the two Idaho men who died after a car crash earlier this month in Boise.

Dustin Stocks, a 27-year-old Boise man, and Austin Huffman, a 33-year-old Eagle man, died from “multiple blunt force injuries” in the single-car crash, according to news releases from the coroner’s office.

The manner of death for both men is listed as accident.

Boise police were dispatched to a call of a car crash around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 1 near the intersection of S. Surprise Way and E. Amity Road.

Police found one car that was overturned, and two people inside — Stocks and Huffman — who were pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene at around 4:25 a.m. Police believe the crash took place around 12:45 a.m. that morning.

The crash also knocked out power lines, according to police. Power was later restored.

The coroner’s office indicated Stocks was driving and Huffman was a passenger in the car. Toxicology results are pending as of Thursday and may take “several weeks” to be finished, according to the news release.

The Boise Police Department is handling the investigation into the crash.
