Idaho man killed after being hit by car following motorcycle crash in Adams County

A Middleton man is dead after he was hit by a car Wednesday night near Council.

Idaho State Police troopers were called to the scene of the crash at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday along U.S. 95 just north of Council, according to a news release from ISP. Troopers found that a man on a motorcycle was driving south on U.S. 95 near E. Fork Road when he crashed on the road.

Shortly after, a driver in a pickup truck was also heading south when the motorist struck the motorcyclist, according to ISP.

The man, identified by police as 48-year-old Middleton resident Jonathan Yorgason, died at the scene of the crash.

Troopers had the southbound lanes of U.S. 95 blocked for roughly four and a half hours following the crash. The crash remains under investigation as of Thursday morning.
