Edgar Flores-Moreno, 36, of Caldwell, has been sentenced to 3 years, 5 months in federal prison for unlawful possession of a firearm, U.S. Attorney for Idaho Bart M. Davis announced on Friday in a news release.

Flores-Moreno was arrested in July 2019 in Nampa and indicted last August for being in the United States unlawfully after he was deported. An investigation then revealed that he had 11 guns at his residence, including two semi-automatic rifles with high-capacity magazines.

This case was investigated by Homeland Security, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Nampa Police Department.
