Second-biggest Idaho Cash jackpot claimed by ‘big winner.’ Where was ticket sold?
Dreams do come true — at least for one lucky lottery winner in Idaho.
Three years ago, Janean Haber of Nampa dreamed that she would win the lottery “one day,” according to the Idaho Lottery.
“That day is today,” Haber told officials recently as she claimed a six-figure lottery jackpot.
Haber matched all five numbers in the Idaho Cash drawing on Tuesday, Feb. 17, to win a $417,100 jackpot, according to David Workman, an Idaho Lottery spokesperson.
“Congratulations to Janean for her big win,” Idaho Lottery director Andrew Arulanandam said in a Friday, Feb. 20, news release.
Where was lucky lottery ticket sold in Idaho?
Haber purchased her winning Idaho Cash ticket from Winner’s Corner game shop, 7447 West Emerald St., Suite 130, in Boise.
“After my dream, I read articles about people who believed they were going to win, and they did,” Haber said in the release. “I thought I could be one of those people.”
“I kept believing, I played regularly, and here I am” — the big winner!” the Nampa resident added.
According to Workman, Haber’s $417,100 prize is the second-largest jackpot win in the history of the Idaho Cash lottery game.
The largest Idaho Cash jackpot prize of all time — $877,800 — was won in 2025 by an “out-of-state syndicate,” Mudspell Pizza, LLC, according to Workman.
What were winning numbers in Tuesday’s drawing?
The winning numbers in Tuesday’s Idaho Cash drawing were 6, 15, 24, 34 and 44, according to the Idaho Lottery.
Haber plans to spend her prize on a trip to Las Vegas, officials said, but it’s “not for what one might think.”
“I’ve always wanted to go on a ghost adventure and that’s what I’m gonna do,” Haber told lottery officials.
How do I play Idaho Cash lottery game?
Each Idaho Cash lottery ticket gets you two plays for $1.
Each play requires five selections of a number between one through 45.
You can select five numbers between one and 45 or ask a computer to choose your numbers for you using the “quick pick” option. There’s also a multi-day number option that allows you to keep your selections consistent for up to 35 days.
Players who matching all five winning numbers score the Idaho Cash lottery jackpot.
Matching four of the winning numbers will get you $200, while matching three is a $5 win.
Free tickets are only played with a quick pick selection. If you have a set of lucky numbers you want to use, you will need to purchase another ticket separately.
How big is the current lottery jackpot?
The Idaho Cash jackpot starts at $20,000 and builds every day until there is a winner.
The jackpot was at $23,800 as of Friday.
The “overall odds of winning a prize” are one in 5.7, according to the Idaho Lottery.
