How much snow did Boise get? See snowfall totals and what’s next in forecast

Though most of the evidence has melted away, a storm recently dropped snow on parts of the Treasure Valley.

The National Weather Service’s Boise office recorded 0.7 inches of snow over six hours on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at its observation site, “with snow still falling.”

“However, we think there could be some very different observations from around the area,” the weather service wrote in a Wednesday post.

More snow could be possible later in the week.

How much snow did Boise area get?

As of 12 p.m. Wednesday, downtown Boise and Garden City received 0.7 inches of snow over the past 24 hours, according to precipitation totals from the National Weather Service.

Meridian, Kuna and Eagle saw no snow accumulation during the same time period, the weather service said.

According to the weather service, Caldwell and Nampa only received cold rain as the storm system rolled through the region.

How much snow did Bogus Basin see? Brundage Mountain?

While parts of Ada County saw less than an inch of snow, nearby mountains added a fresh layer of flakes.

According to the Bogus Basin ski resort’s website, the mountain near Boise has seen a total of 13 inches of powdery, fresh snow since Monday, Feb. 16, and 4 inches of snowfall since Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Tamarack Resort reported 14 inches of snow since Presidents’ Day — Monday, Feb. 16 — and 11 inches in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Brundage Mountain ski resort had the largest snow totals to report, receiving 22 inches of snow since Monday.

Brundage Mountain received 8 inches of fresh snow during the most recent flurries, according to the ski resort’s website.

What’s in the weather forecast for Boise?

According to the National Weather Service’s latest forecast, Boise will see patchy fog before 8 a.m. Thursday.

After that, Boise will be “mostly sunny” with a high temperature near 43 degrees and an overnight low temperature around 24 degrees.

Boise’s next chance at snow will be Friday, Feb. 20, when there’s a 20% chance of snow showers before 11 a.m. The high will be 43 and the low will be 24.

“Active winter weather will continue through Friday, before a high-pressure system settling in on Saturday returns warmer and drier conditions,” the National Weather Service’s Boise office wrote in an X post on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Saturday, Feb. 21, will bring another sunny day to Boise with a high of 48 degrees. Clouds will roll into the Boise area on Saturday evening, with the temperature dropping to 32 overnight.

Boise will see partly sunny skies on Sunday, Feb. 22 with a high of 55.

Another storm system is expected to arrive that evening.

On Sunday night, the low will be around 38. There’s a 20% chance of rain after 11 p.m.
