This Boise dessert shop is in the running for ‘Best ice cream in America’

Ready for National Ice Cream Day?

You can celebrate on Sunday, July 19, by showing support for a Boise ice cream shop vying for national fame.

The STIL is competing for the title of “best ice cream in America” in an online tournament run by The64.com, a website that takes the “time-honored tradition” of sports tournament brackets and applies it to everyday debates.

“From small-town scoop shops to big-city favorites, 64 of the nation’s finest creameries” are participating in the America’s Best Ice Cream competition, The64 said.

“There are no judges and no entry fees, just a free, feel-good competition driven by customers, hometown pride and plenty of strong opinions about ice cream,” The64 said in a July 9 news release.
