The Ada County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died after a single-vehicle crash near the Boise Depot two weeks ago.

Niyonsenga Tuyisingize, 31, was driving at around 3 a.m. on April 15 when she crashed into a tree on South Capitol Boulevard. Police found her unresponsive in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Emergency personnel extracted Tuyisingize and began life-saving measures, and she was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with life-threatening injuries.

“Preliminary evidence indicates the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, drove over the median, across southbound traffic lanes, and crashed into a tree on the west side of the road,” police previously said.

She died the day after the crash, according to the coroner’s office. Its report listed the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death as an accident.

A GoFundMe has been set up for her family.
