Another In-N-Out location is ‘opening soon’ in Idaho. Here’s where
Good news, burger fans! Idaho is getting a fourth In-N-Out Burger location.
It’s been nearly two and a half years since In-N-Out Burger opened its first restaurant in the Gem State.
Now, the popular California-based fast food chain is reaching a bit farther than the Treasure Valley.
Here’s where:
What is In-N-Out Burger?
Launched by Harry Snyder in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948, In-N-Out Burger has rapidly expanded across the West and now it’s booming in Idaho.
The restaurant chain, which offers drive-through and dine-in options, now has more than 430 locations in 10 states, according to Scrape Hero.
Where are In-N-Out locations in Idaho?
In-N-Out opened its first Idaho location in The Village in Meridian in December 2023, the Idaho Statesman previously reported.
A second In-N-Out location opened in the Boise Towne Square shopping center in October 2024, and a Nampa location opened in January 2025.
In September 2025, the chain filed for a permit to make $750,000 worth of improvements to a Boise warehouse, tacking on another 10,000 square feet of space to the 30,000-square-foot building. As of Thursday, May 7 the permit was still being revised.
After plans for a second Meridian In-N-Out were denied due to traffic concerns, the city is set to welcome In-N-Out at The District at Ten Mile, a massive commercial development under construction northwest of the Ten Mile Interchange, according to Statesman reporting.
When, where will new fast food restaurant open?
In 2024, the Twin Falls City Council approved a special-use permit for an In-N-Out Burger location at 1965 North Blue Lakes Blvd., KMVT-TV reported at the time.
As of Thursday, the Twin Cities location was listed as “opening soon” on In-N-Out’s website.
However, an official opening date had not been announced.
What’s on the menu at In-N-Out?
If you look at In-N-Out Burger’s menu inside the restaurant, you might be underwhelmed by the options presented.
They include a hamburger, cheeseburger, french fries, milkshakes and drinks.
You can also order the chain’s famous Double-Double burger — a cheeseburger with two patties and two slices of cheese.
What is In-N-Out’s secret menu?
There are many more options on what In-N-Out calls the “not-so-secret menu.”
If you ask for any burger “animal style,” all beef patties on your burger will be cooked in mustard and topped with pickles, chopped grilled onions and extra In-N-Out sauce, a blend of mayonnaise, ketchup and sweet pickle relish.
Other options for sandwiches include:
- Mustard-cooked: Mustard is put on top of the patty while cooking.
- Protein style: Your burger is wrapped in hand-leafed lettuce instead of a bun.
- Grilled cheese: Two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and In-N-Out sauce on a bun.
- Double meat: A regular hamburger with all the fixings and two meat patties.
- 3x3: A regular cheeseburger with all the fixings, three patties and three cheese slices.
- 4x4: A regular cheeseburger with all the fixings, four patties and four cheese slices.
You can order your fries light, light-well, well done or extra well done, depending on how crispy you like them.
You can also get fries with melted cheese on top or “animal style” topped with melted cheese, grilled onions and a generous amount of In-N-Out’s special sauce.
In-N-Out offers three basic shake options: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. However, those three flavors can be combined to create something else: a Neapolitan.
If you order the Neapolitan milkshake, you’ll receive all three flavors mixed together into a single shake.
