Want a Wild West getaway? Check out Idaho’s most in-demand Airbnb
Want to travel back in time?
Grab your cowboy boots and head to Idaho’s most popular Airbnb listing — a rustic saloon straight out of the Wild West.
Airbnb recently went in search of the most in-demand vacation rentals in every state.
“For travelers seeking that spark of inspiration to visit somewhere new, Airbnb’s most wishlisted listings offer a unique experience for every type of adventurer across all 50 states, the property rental platform said in an April 9 article.
Here’s where to go in Idaho:
What is Idaho’s most wishlisted property on Airbnb?
“In the West, the most wishlisted stays share a common thread: the desire to unplug,” Airbnb said.
According to Airbnb, the Idaho vacation rental that lands on the most wish lists is a “western saloon” in Tetonia with views of the Grand Tetons.
“Soaring over a landscape rich with wildlife, pristine lakes, and majestic alpine vistas, the Teton Range stands as a testament to generations of stewards,” Grand Teton National Park said on its website.
Guests at the one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin can enjoy “stunning sunsets and sunrises” on a 10 acre property in Teton Valley near the Wyoming border, Airbnb said.
What are amenities at Tetonia vacation rental?
Hosted by Airbnb superhost Ashley, the Tetonia saloon mixes an old-timey look with modern amenities such as a gas fireplace, pool table and barbecue grill.
“Enjoy lounging in the saltwater hot tub, or having a fire under the stars at this mountain retreat,” the listing says. “A creek runs through the property, and there are multiple outdoor sitting areas where you can relax and enjoy being in nature.”
Other than Ashley and her elderly pitbull mix dog, Bruce, your closest neighbors are horses and cows.
Smoking is allowed on the property, and there’s free parking on the premises.
Does western saloon have house rules?
Up to four people can stay at the Tetonia property.
Parties and pets are not allowed, and no children under age 10 can use the hot tub.
What do the reviews say?
With an average rating of 4.99 stars out of five, the Wild West getaway is among Airbnb’s top 5% of listings.
Airbnb guest Jackson left a five-star review after his relaxing honeymoon at the western saloon, calling his host “amazing,” including “irresistible” visits from Bruce.
“(Ashley) even treated us to some local baked goods after it snowed on us,” the reviewer wrote.
“We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my birthday” and Christmas, Airbnb guest Letícia of Miami said in a review. “The saloon is certainly one of our best experiences ever. It is authentic, cozy, and truly exceeded all of our expectations.”
How much does a stay cost?
Prices for a minimum three-day stay at the Tetonia saloon range from about $1,000 and $1,500, depending on the season.
The Airbnb listing is available for long-term stays, with discounts for month-long rentals.
