Walmart stores offer free shots, health screenings in Idaho. Here’s when
Walmart customers can soon take advantage of free health screenings and no-cost vaccinations at stores across Idaho.
The Wellness Event brings together “pharmacists, vision experts and wellness teams to offer free health screenings, no-cost flu shots, affordable immunizations and personalized guidance — all in one convenient stop,” the company said in a news release.
All Walmart pharmacy locations are participating in the event, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What’s available at Walmart wellness events?
Though restrictions apply, insured participants can expect the following free services:
- Health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and body mass index
- Vision screenings
- Influenza shots
- Guidance on nutrition, medications and more
- Wellness sample boxes with an array of snacks, vitamins and supplements
You can also expect to find low-cost options for immunizations for shingles, tetanus, respiratory syncytial virus, human papillomavirus and more.
In addition, Walmart has lowered prices on more than 1,000 wellness-related products.
According to Walmart, wellness events have more than 5 million free health screenings since 2014.
“We’re committed to meeting people where they are and supporting their health goals in practical, affordable ways,” Kevin Host, senior vice president of pharmacy at Walmart, said in the release.
