Teenager dies after two-vehicle crash on Boise Foothills road
A 17-year-old Boise boy died Thursday night after the vehicle he was driving collided with an SUV near the intersection of Cartwright Road and Pierce Park Lane.
Skyler Johnson was pronounced dead at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center at about 7:30 p.m., according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office, which listed the cause of death as traumatic blunt force injuries in a news release Friday afternoon.
The investigation into the crash, which occurred Thursday just after 6 p.m., is being conducted by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said the teen’s Honda Del Sol spun onto Cartwright from Pierce Park, where it was struck by a Honda Pilot driven by a 74-year-old man. That man and a 73-year-old female passenger were also taken to a hospital, where they were treated and released.
