Boise
Micron Technology is seeking a permit for a $36.6 million renovation of its headquarters, Building 17 on its campus at 8000 S. Federal Way.
Improvements will allow the company to increase the 269,200-square-foot building’s capacity from 3,500 employees to 5,261.
The building, visible along Federal Way, is the company’s most recognizable building, topped with the Micron logo.

Boise’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional use permit for a 12-home subdivision on 1.52 acres at 5160 W. Wylie Lane. The development is from Timber and Love, the company owned by HGTV’s Boise Boys.
Each house would be about 2,400 square feet and have a two-car garage.
The commission recommended approval of the subdivision to the Boise City Council. A date for that hearing has not been set.

Fig Village at Parkside, a Provo, Utah, company, is seeking to build 102 apartments at 511 N. Maple Grove Road.
The company is requesting a rezone from M-1D (light industrial with design review) to C-1D/DA (neighborhood commercial with design review and development agreement) to build the development.
The Boise City Council is scheduled to hear the request at its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Those interested in participating can do so at Boise City Hall, 150 N. Capitol Blvd., or virtually by going to cityofboise.org/virtual-meetings.

Energreen Development Co. of McCall has applied for a rezone to allow construction of 16 condominiums at 1511 Robert St., near South Vista Avenue and West Overland Road.
The four-story, owner-occupied condos, each about 800 square feet, would have one bedroom apiece. Each unit would have 100 square feet of outdoor open space, with patios on the ground floor, balconies on the second and third floors, and rooftop patios on the fourth floor. Parking would be provided inside a first-floor parking structure.
A hearing has not yet been scheduled.

Harrison Hills Apartments, 2800 N. Bogus Basin Road, is seeking a permit to remodel the exterior of the five residential buildings. The work would involve installing new siding, windows and doors on all three stories.

ECCO Safety Group, represented by BRS Architects, seeks to build a 90,000-square-foot building for manufacturing, office and warehouse space.
The building would be on 6.9 acres at 858 W. McGregor Court, in a business district east of Broadway Avenue near Interstate 84.

Stor-it Self Storage seeks to build a 347,000-square-foot self-storage building at 6099 S. Federal Way. The project, represented by Hatch Design Architecture, would be built on 20.6 acres.

Treasure Valley Hospital is seeking a permit to renovate 7,030 square feet and add nearly 4,000 square feet at its surgical hospital at 8800 W. Emerald St.

Concierge Legacy Advisors, a Meridian wealth management firm represented by Eagle-based ALC Architecture, is seeking to build two laundromats. The first would be at 10390 W. State St., near Jennie Lane, with about 5,100 square feet. The second would be at 2603 W. Canal St. at Vista Avenue, with about 3,480 feet.

Becky McKay, a representative from Engineering Solutions, applied to build the next phase of the Aegean Estates subdivision at 4306 N. McDermott Road. This phase will add 24 single-family homes to the subdivision, which would include 215 homes when complete.

Biltmore Co. finished construction on Avondale, a fourplex apartment complex at 16645 Idaho Center Blvd, near the College of Western Idaho campus.

Adler Industrial LLC, a Boise developer, has started to build a new industrial park.
The AI Northside Industrial Park is located one mile north of the I-84 interchange at Northside Boulevard. Its first phase will include two buildings totaling 280,000 square feet, divisible to 28,000 square feet, the company said in a news release.

Wolf Building Co. completed construction on Mettle Sports, a youth gym at 3001 E. Badger Drive, near the intersection of 2nd Street South and East Amity Avenue.
The gym is owned by Klint Keller of Nampa and three of his brothers: Kim, Troy and Brett, the Statesman previously reported.

Around Idaho
The University of Idaho is seeking an architectural firm for $780,000 to help plan and design the $4.5 million Center for Plant and Soil Health to be built at the Parma Research and Extension Center.
The university says the center is needed to better equip faculty to meet grower concerns, increase research space, and help recruit and retain world-class faculty. Among donors so far are the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation, which has pledged $1 million, and Amalgamated Sugar, which has pledged $500,000.

Notable
Gyro Shack says it wants to add one or two more restaurants in the Boise area and is seeking franchisees with at least $500,000 in net worth, including $200,000 in liquid assets.
Former franchisees Mark Urness and Matt Jeffries bought the Boise company, which was founded in 2010 by Boiseans Gus and Jenny Zaharioudakis. Gyro Shack’s small restaurants rely mostly on drive-through and delivery of Mediterranean foods such as gyros, pita and salads.
