This Nampa restaurant has closed ‘until we can get some things figured out’
The bad news: A family-owned restaurant and lounge in Nampa has shuttered for the time being.
The good news: A new food trailer is planned soon.
Yanni’s, 1411 Shilo Drive, went dark in late June. The Greek restaurant and bar opened last fall.
“... We have had to temporarily close our doors until we can get some things figured out,” explains a social media post attributed to “Amanda, Yanni and the entire Yanni’s family.”
”This is definitely not a permanent closure, and we will be working hard to get our doors back open for all of you to come back. We have done our best to continue but it’s just not possible at this point and time.”
Offering Mediterranean flavors, Yanni’s plans to continue serving through a food trailer launching in the next six weeks.
“From sizzling gyros to our famous loaded Greek fries, we’re bringing the heart of Greece straight to the streets — serving up fast, fresh, and flavorful bites wherever you are!” Yanni’s posted. “Catch us soon at markets, events, and neighborhoods all across the valley.”
Diners are encouraged to watch Yanni’s social media for updates and schedule information.
During its limited time operating, Yanni’s generated significant praise from online reviewers. The restaurant has racked up 4.4 out of 5.0 stars on Yelp and 4.7 out of 5.0 on Google.
“Yanni’s absolutely blew us away!” a recent Yelp review gushed.
