A new radio station is playing ball on the Treasure Valley airwaves.

KSRV-HD2 appeared this week at 99.9 FM. It broadcasts Fox Sports Radio programming. That includes nationally known on-air personalities such as Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd.

“We are thrilled to bring Fox Sports Radio back to Boise,” James Garner, regional operations manager for Iliad Media Group, said in a media release. “Our listeners will have access to the best names in sports talk, and 24/7 access to the best sports programming in the industry.”

Branded as Fox Sports Boise, Iliad’s new offering will compete with KTIK 93.1 FM The Ticket. That station, operated by Cumulus Media, blends syndicated programming (“The Jim Rome Show,” “The Rich Eisen Show”) with a local weekday broadcast, “Idaho Sports Talk with Prater & The Ballgame.”
