Now no Ben Harper OR Doobie Bros.? More Boise shows are canceled, not postponed: Updates

With summer concerts disrupted by coronavirus, the Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald have decided they are takin’ it to the streets in 2021 instead.

The Doobie Bros.’ 50th Anniversary Tour has been rescheduled for next summer — well, mostly.

Boise fans are out of luck.

The classic rock band, which was slated to visit the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater in Nampa on Sept. 3, will not make up that particular date.

Need a refund? Tickets bought at ICtickets.com will be automatically refunded to the purchasing credit card, according to the Idaho Center. Questions? Email info.fordidahocenter@spectraxp.com.

And while many other Treasure Valley outdoor concerts are being postponed, the Doobies aren’t the only act to flat-out pull the plug.

Also not happening

The Steve Miller Band and Marty Stuart & The Fabulous Superlatives on July 14 at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden has been canceled.

Tickets bought from Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded, while all other refunds are available at the point of purchase.

More than half of this summer’s shows at Outlaw Field already have been postponed or axed.

“Losing money from canceled concerts endangers the future of the Outlaw Field and the Garden as a whole,” according to organizers. “We understand times are tough right now, but if you have the means, support IBG and guarantee another season of Outlaw Field by donating your ticket refund through the link below.”

Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals on June 26 at Outlaw Field also has been canceled. Same story: Tickets bought from Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded, while all other refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Postponed with a refund deadline

Bogus Fest on June 19-20 at Bogus Basin Recreation Area is another COVID-19 casualty.

Technically, the annual tribute band party has been postponed — exactly one year. But now that this summer’s event is nixed, tickets are to be used toward 2021. If you do want a refund, you must apply by June 13, 2020, at the point of purchase (TicketWeb, Record Exchange, McU Sports).

“BEYOND THAT DATE,” Bogus Fest warns on its website (yes, in all caps), “ALL SALES ARE FINAL.”
