6A All-Idaho football team: The top players from the state’s top classification

6A ALL-IDAHO FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Hudson Lewis, Timberline
The Oregon signee strapped the Wolves on his back, racking up 1,026 receiving yards while leading the class in receptions (62) and touchdown catches (15). His elite speed changed the game on offense, defense (five INTs) and special teams. He even won a state semifinal game when an injury forced him to play quarterback.
“As a coach you have to know where he is at all times and game-plan to stay away from him,” Boise coach Mike Altieri said.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Ian Smart, Timberline
He led the Wolves to their first state championship game, setting a program record for wins (10-2).
ALL-STATE FIRST TEAM
OFFENSE
QB: Jack Brant, Timberline
The UC Davis signee threw for 2,156 yards and 25 TDs with just two INTs, and added another 539 yards and 12 TDs running the ball.
RB: Amani Morel, Rigby
He made his third appearance on an all-state first team after running for 1,106 yards and 23 TDs for the state champs.
RB: Noah Burnham, Eagle
Another three-timer on the first team, he ran for 1,414 yards and 15 TDs while adding 343 yards and six TDs through the air.
WR: Rasean Jones, Rocky Mountain
The Boise State signee and Army All-American racked up 1,265 all-purpose yards and 15 TDs as a threat each time he got the ball.
WR: Quincey Clay, Capital
The sophomore was a threat as a receiver, a runner and a returner, finishing with 2,038 all-purpose yards and 23 TDs.
TE: Ryan Brekke, Owyhee
A second-team pick the past two years, the Boise State signee moved up to the first team after 718 total yards and eight TDs.
OL: Jax Tanner, Rocky Mountain
The BYU signee and Army, Navy and Under Armour All-American totaled an all-class-leading 120 pancakes for his third first-team selection.
OL: Donovin Jara, Rigby
The 6-5, 315-pound senior tackle and Montana Tech commit made 101 pancake blocks and shut down the pass rush.
OL: Cache Williams, Rigby
The senior guard (6-2, 285) helped the state champs average 426 yards per game by controlling the middle of the line.
OL: Kingston Critchfield, Eagle
The 6-4, 260-pound senior center played all three positions across the line the past two years and holds an offer from Portland State.
OL: Andrew Price, Timberline
The 6-6, 265-pound tackle emerged as a two-way force this season, becoming a three-star recruit that signed with Hawaii.
K: Brayson Stoddard, Madison
The senior nailed 11 field goals, including one from 53 yards, recorded 25 touchbacks and converted 3-of-5 onside attempts.
DEFENSE
DL: Rowan Rupp, Rocky Mountain
Despite missing four games with an injury, the Boise State signee made 51 tackles and forced two fumbles to repeat on the first team.
DL: Boston Balsmeier, Rigby
An injury cost him most of his junior season. He returned with a vengeance as senior, posting 60.5 tackles and nine tackles-for-loss.
DL: Riggins Stoor, Mountain View
The senior defensive end led 6A in sacks (14) and forced fumbles (five) as a high-motor weapon that lived in backfields.
DL: Jeremiah Minnett, Eagle
The senior nose tackle disrupted offenses with his quick first step and power, recording 70 tackles and 13 tackles-for-loss.
LB: Drew Holman, Middleton
The Portland-bound catcher led 6A in tackles for a second straight season (173) to make a second straight first team.
LB: Cache Summers, Madison
The senior made plays all over the field, averaging 10.7 tackles with six sacks, four forced fumbles and five interceptions.
LB: Nash O’Kelley, Timberline
The sideline-to-sideline middle linebacker covered slot receivers and averaged 9.3 tackles to earn a preferred walk-on from Idaho.
DB: Cannon Korth, Rigby
The four-year starter and two-way threat erased the opponent’s top weapon in coverage, finishing with four interceptions.
DB: Logan Haustveit, Owyhee
A two-time, first-team all-state pick in basketball, the playmaking safety adds football honors to his lengthy resume.
DB: Rasean Jones, Rocky Mountain
The only two-way, all-state selection in 6A, the shutdown corner and safety tied Lewis for the state lead in interceptions (five).
DB: Zayah Wright, Eagle
The three-year starter changed positions every fall, settling in as a hard-hitting safety that led 6A with 13 pass breakups.
P: Jackson Cordero, Madison
The quarterback pinned opponents inside their 20-yard line 12 times yet still averaged 42.5 yards per punt.
